Circadian Restoration for Trauma Recovery
Your biology has a rhythm. Trauma disrupts it. This 7-week program delivers one focused resource per week, guiding you through the process of restoring your body's natural circadian patterns as a foundation for deeper healing. Simple, structured, and deeply effective.
What's inside:
- 7 weekly PDF guides delivered one per week directly to you
- Week 1 includes a companion video teaching
- Topics spanning morning anchoring, food timing, light exposure, and sleep restoration
- A gentle, structured approach designed for a dysregulated nervous system
- Full integration into the Sundar Wellness ecosystem
Healing has a rhythm. This program helps you find yours.
Why circadian timing matters after trauma
Trauma reliably disrupts the circadian timing system, the set of biological clocks that coordinate:
-
sleep–wake cycles
-
cortisol and melatonin release
-
attention and working memory
-
emotional regulation
-
energy availability
When circadian timing is unstable, people commonly experience:
-
insomnia or fragmented sleep
-
mood swings or emotional flattening
-
brain fog, ADHD-like symptoms
-
heightened reactivity or shutdown
-
difficulty initiating or completing tasks
These symptoms are often treated as psychological traits, but they are predictable consequences of disrupted biological timekeeping.
The bidirectional problem
Research shows that:
Trauma leads to a disruption in circadian cross talk.
What is less commonly known is the reverse:
Disrupted circadian timing increases vulnerability to trauma and prolongs recovery.
When the body cannot reliably distinguish:
-
day from night
-
past from present
-
activation from rest
the nervous system remains biased toward threat detection and incomplete recovery.
This course addresses time itself as a stabilizing input.
What this course does (and does not do)
This course does:
-
Restore circadian cues using light, timing, movement, food input and routine
-
Improve sleep pressure and sleep quality indirectly
-
Support emotional regulation without emotional processing
-
Reduce cognitive volatility through consistent biological signals
-
Work with neurodivergent and trauma-affected nervous systems
This course does not:
-
Require journaling, disclosure, or memory work
-
Use visualization, reframing, or spiritual language
-
Ask for discipline, streaks, or habit stacking
-
Rely on supplements or devices
